Our Story
A Mother’s Dream Bakery was established in historic Oley, Pennsylvania in 2016 by Sharon Moll. As a family-owned and operated bakery, our mission is to create delicious, homemade, baked-from-scratch treats that everyone can enjoy safely.
We proudly use organic, whole ingredients in every recipe. All of our baked goods are FREE OF GLUTEN, SOY, WHEAT, OATS, PEANUTS, TREE NUTS, COCONUT, SESAME, and ARTIFICIAL DYES — making them both allergy-friendly and delicious!
This bakery started because of one mother's dream...
Many years ago, while on vacation, this family was excited to visit a local shop known for its amazing homemade donuts — it was all they could talk about! As everyone smiled and enjoyed the delicious treats, Sharon looked over at her youngest son, who couldn’t have one due to his multiple severe anaphylactic food allergies.
Watching him glance around at his family happily munching away, she realized he had never had a donut in his life because of his allergies. Although he was disappointed that day — and likely many others — he rarely showed it or let it bring down the mood.
But Sharon had enough. As his mother, she wanted to take away that disappointment and give him the joyful experience of biting into a delicious donut for the very first time.
Once they got home...
Sharon was on a mission, searching high and low in countless stores and all over the internet. Unfortunately, she couldn’t find a company or brand that made donuts free from her son’s multiple food allergies. So, a dream was born.
Determined to make it happen herself, Sharon got to work creating a recipe that was not only allergy-friendly, but delicious too.
With the Lord's help,
and a lot of hard work, she soon had a finished product. The JOY on her son’s face after eating it was all it took — she decided to pursue this dream and create recipes not just for her own son, but for everyone with severe food allergies to enjoy (and even those without allergies!).
From the first donut...
to our expanded product line of biscotti, cookies, and much more, A Mother’s Dream Bakery’s mission is to give you the FREEdom to enjoy homemade baked treats without worry.
Today, A Mother’s Dream Bakery focuses on biscotti, as well as custom cakes, cookies, and other specialty items for events and celebrations.
